Kaleida

The minimalist electro-pop/synthpop London-based duo consisting of Christina Wood and Cicely Goulder came out of nowhere at the end of last year with Think and Tropea, two tracks that I was hooked to and spammed everyone around me with.

This year saw a release of Picture you, a track with the haunting vocals and beats that perfectly accompany them and keep you wishing for the song to never end. The EP is announced to be out sometimes this year and I can’t wait for it to finally come out.

Ms. Charlotte OC

Charlotte O’Connor had a bumpy start in the music business but in november last year she finally released a debut EP, “Colour My Heart”, with four amazing tracks that prove that pop music can still be great, honest and emotional. Later she did the live versions of all the tracks from the EP  and they totally broke my heart and it felt good.

First she took my heart with Stolen car, then I got addicted to Hangover and my vice at the moment is Colour my heart.

p.s. She did a great cover of one of my favourite house tracks from the beginning of 2000’s

Ms. Meg Myers

So, when I first watched the Heart heart head video i was like “ok, this a bit creepy and cool at the same time”, and as the video progressed i could not take my eyes off it because i was just waiting to see what’s going to happen next, and boy was I right. Everything just explodes at that one great moment and I don’t know how but it all works together. All the anger, power and rawness combined with her talent produces something that just leaves you wanting for more.

Although she released hers first EP “Daughter in the choir” in 2011, with After you and Monster on it, it didn’t bring the success she deserves. This year saw the release of the second EP “Make a shadow” with Desire being one of the five tracks on it.

p.s. I still can’t get over the fact that this amazing song is not on any of the EPs
